LG G7 ThinQ vs Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

Review on The Newest Flagships of This Year

These two are good phones with their cons and perks, but from last year Samsung was the better device hence this year LG G7 ThinQ is out to try and change that.

Let us have a look how it did this year comparing it to last year.

First of all, let us start off with the:

Build and Design

  1. Samsung Galaxy S9+
  • Metal-Frame – curved glass panels front and back
  • IP68 Water and Dust Resistance
  • Colors – Midnight Black, Titanium Grey, Coral, Lilac Purple
  • 189g

2. LG G7 ThinQ

  • Metal-Frame – curved glass back
  • IP68 Water and Resistance
  • Colors – Platinum Gray, Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, Raspberry Rose

They’re both new devices but not a big significant difference from last years models.

  1. Samsung Galaxy S9+
  • 6.2″
  • Super AMOLED 18.5:9
  • -84.2% screen to body

2. LG G7 ThinQ

  • 6.1″
  • LCD 19.5:9
  • -82.6% screen to body

On both devices, they have a narrow aspect ratio but the S9+ as a slightly better screen to body ratio.

And that is mostly because of its notch that LG has.

We also do have minimal bezels on both devices which is great.

We also do have different technology displays.

Now the AMOLED Display is better than the LCD Display in colors but LG has improved this over time.

SLightly better pixels on the LG G7 and that is because of the notch

An interesting fact is that on the S9+ it takes only one shot

On both devices, we got Android OS 8 (Oreo) but they have different interfaces of their own.

They both have also the headphone jack that is lately becoming extinct on most future devices lately.
