OnePlus 6 All You Need To Know About It
Its been interesting to follow OnePlus for the last couple of years from the beginning OnePlus 1 days and all the way to today.
- Snapdragon 845
- Adreno 630
- 6/8 RAM
- 6.3″ Display (2280x 1080)
- 3330mAh battery
Dual Camera 16MP f/1.7, Main Sensor, and 20MP f/1.7 secondary camera.
The price is a classic for OnePlus devices at around:
With great specs at a low price is very great by OnePlus.
With all that here are some impressions.
I think many people are going to have the strongest reactions to it and its design.
So they like everyone else this year have added dual cameras, glass back, big screen and a notch.
That’s it like every other phone we have seen in the last 6 months.
Honestly, I think it looks really good. Even though I don’t really like notches but this one is a little smaller.
The text and icons go right into the corners perfectly and the bottom chin is pretty small.
The glass back is more interesting it has that OnePlus signature curve. But it adds some weight to it.
Even though it does have a glass back there’s no wireless charging.
There’s actually 3 glass back finishes:
- Mira Glossy Back
- Soft White Rose Gold Metal
- Matte Black
Continuing on the back the fingerprint sensor is in the same place but it’s smaller.
On the OnePlus 5T, it was a circle and this one has less surface area.
The Dual Camera setup is very interesting usually, you kinda assume you got your main camera sensor and one the secondary you get the telephoto for portrait mode.
But on this device, it’s actually the same photo length.
The first one is from Sony IM519:
- 16MP f/1.7 OIS
and the secondary is by Sony IMX376K
- 20MP Sensor f/1.7 and they don’t say if it is optically stabilized or not.
Around the front where it looks the newest with that huge new display and notch up top.
To be fair it is one of the smallest notches, there is just a camera and some sensors and earpiece.
The screen to body ratio is 84%.
They have a lot of new things like other devices in 2018.
But they stuck to some of their things like:
- dash charging
- oxygen OS
- alert slider
- headphone jack and
Oxygen OS is really great you can barely call it a skin, but it is one of those few skins on android 8.1.
Always on time with upgrades and a few tweaks of its own.
They also added gestures if you want to get rid of the buttons on the bottom.
They added some improvements to gaming mode there’s a dark mode now.
After all, it is a really good device.
